McDonald's Ishigakijima store grand opening on July 25th

Approximately six months after the closure of the McDonald's attached to San-A, the new McDonald's Ishigakijima store will have its grand opening at 10:30 a.m. on July 25th.

The McDonald's Ishigaki Island store, which will open as a standalone store, will have a modern exterior, and the interior will be decorated with lights reminiscent of ketchup, fries, and straws, as well as McDonald's signature red and yellow chairs, welcoming customers in a stylish and bright atmosphere.

The kitchen is equipped with the latest equipment, and the cooking counter can now work twice as efficiently as before, aiming to provide products quickly. The walk-in freezer, which is about three times larger than that of a regular store, was introduced to ensure that service can continue even when logistics are disrupted by bad weather such as typhoons. The store is now able to adapt to the unique location characteristics of a remote island.

In addition to the counter register, new touchscreen self-order kiosks (cashless payment only) have been introduced for ordering in the store, allowing customers to order while viewing product images on a large monitor.

The drive-thru, which has been in high demand until now, has been expanded to two ordering lanes, improving convenience. Additionally, the newly prepared park-and-go parking space can be used exclusively for mobile orders, with a store employee bringing the ordered items to the car. With a variety of ordering and pickup methods available, customers can choose the service that best suits their preferences and circumstances.

As for the menu, cakes will now be available for the first time, and customers can choose from cakes and macarons displayed in the display case next to the register, making it a fun cafe experience.

Store manager Kota Yonamine expressed his enthusiasm, saying, "We want to work hard to make this a store that is loved by local customers," and added, "We will work together as a team to provide our customers with the best possible service, so we look forward to your visit."

After the grand opening, the store will be open from 6:00 AM to midnight, seven days a week. The store will have 63 seats and 33 parking spaces. This will be the southernmost and westernmost McDonald's store in the country.
