The 37th Marching & Baton in Okinawa 2024 was held at the Okinawa Convention Center on November 10, 2024, and the Ishigaki Second Junior High School Marching Band won the gold medal. They won a ticket to the national tournament, where they will be competing for their third consecutive national championship. The band is running a crowdfunding campaign to raise funds for their participation in the national tournament.
The summer performance by Wing Kids Leaders, "Yuunu Shimakaze ~Nami to Tsumugu Prayers~" was held at the Ishigaki Civic Hall large hall on August 4th. A total of 58 children's theater troupe members, ranging from 4th grade elementary school students to 3rd grade high school students, captivated the audience with their powerful acting and dancing.
On Saturday, June 15, 2024, the comedy duo Lip Service held their solo tour "2024 FULL HOUSE" at the Ishigaki Civic Hall Middle Hall. Ishigaki native and comedian Shinya Kinjo announced that he had changed his name to "Curry Udon Shinya." The packed audience was filled with laughter.
On Sunday, November 26, 2023, Nose Waters held a live concert to celebrate their 30th anniversary at the Ishigaki Civic Hall. All past members gathered together and captivated the packed audience. The entire venue was filled with a sense of unity. The Cardboard Dancers also appeared during the Cardboard Boogie in the middle of the concert.
