"Seven x Seven Ishigaki", a hotel offering exclusive experiences that can only be found here, will open near Tadahama Beach in Maezato on Monday, September 9, 2024.
The opening on Ishigaki Island is the second facility following "seven x seven Itoshima" in the Itoshima area of Fukuoka Prefecture.
All 121 guest rooms have a terrace and floor-to-ceiling glass for a panoramic view, creating an open and airy atmosphere.
There are 21 types of rooms in total, including suites with private pools and saunas that cost over 240,000 yen per night, and rooms with jacuzzis.

An opening ceremony was held ahead of the grand opening on Tuesday, September 3, 2024. Fourteen people, including Ishigaki City Mayor Yoshitaka Nakayama, Taketomi Town Mayor Masato Maedomari, Ishigaki City Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chairman Tatsuya Ohama, and Sato Kogyo's Construction Business Headquarters Executive Officer Wataru Hirohashi, participated in the ceremony to celebrate the opening with a sake barrel opening ceremony.
Mayor Nakayama said in his greeting, "I feel that a high-quality hotel has opened that will be able to attract a new type of customer to Ishigaki Island, unlike anything seen before.I think this is a hotel of such a rank that people will feel like they came to Ishigaki Island just to stay at this hotel."
The hotel's underground bar "Red." and restaurant "BATIDA" are available to non-guests as well.
Bar Red. is a chic and modern space with the theme of an "adult playground," where you can enjoy shisha and billiards along with over 200 types of gin from around the world.
At Restaurant BATIDA, you can enjoy a variety of dishes that can only be eaten here, including steaks made from Ishigaki Island's Niisato beef.

The facility also features an authentic Finnish sauna supervised by the sauna creative group TTNE.
The Shisa Sauna, where you can experience loyly from the mouth of a shisa, is one of the highlights of Seven x Seven Ishigaki.
Seven x Seven Ishigaki is an eye-catching building made of Ryukyu limestone with a white base. Guests are welcomed into a botanical space filled with plants.
When we asked David Miskin, who oversaw the design, what the idea behind the design was, he replied, "I visited Ishigaki Island several times and was inspired by various elements of the island, such as the warm people and abundant nature." He also said that he hopes that islanders will also visit the hotel and make use of the facilities.
