A French pastry shop has opened along the industrial road near Yaeyama Police Station. The name of the shop, farinez'vous, means "covered in flour" in French. They are particular about the wheat that is the framework for making sweets, and sell a variety of items, mainly French pastries. The interior of the store is designed so that you can see the kitchen, creating a homey atmosphere where you can really get a feel for the manufacturing process. Just looking at the colorful cakes lined up in the show window makes you feel happy. They also have a wide selection of baked goods that are perfect as gifts, small souvenirs, and snacks.
