Cherish life
Bo's Farm re-fattens cows (mature cows) that have finished giving birth to calves, and then sells them as processed products such as meat and hamburgers.
They practice local circular agriculture, such as using locally grown rice straw as feed, and eventually aim to have a system in place where rice farmers share their rice straw with Bo's Farm's compost.
"Bono" means "my" in the Shiraho dialect. "I want to contribute to the local community through livestock farming," says store owner Yoshio Miya.
The location is next to the guesthouse Tadazukuya in Shiraho, just after turning onto R-8.
There is also a refrigerated vending machine in front of the store.
