Special feature: "Masamichi Shiohira's war drawings - thinking about them together with children"

Masamichi Shiohira experienced the war on Ishigaki Island as a child. When he tried to tell people about his experience, he found that talking alone didn't quite get the point across. That's why he decided to draw pictures instead. He showed the pictures to 5th and 6th graders at Nagura Elementary and Junior High School, first without explanation, and then had them listen to an explanation of the pictures. What did they look like, and what did they feel? We will introduce the children's reactions along with Shiohira's pictures.
