The past, present and future of Yaeyama as seen in Yaeyama books

This is a guidebook that collects 581 Yaeyama books and helps you understand books about Yaeyama. The various faces of Yaeyama emerge. There is an index that allows you to look up the topic you want to research and find related books. Not only is it a guidebook to books about Yaeyama, but it also contains a column titled "My Relationship with Books" by Yaeyama native author Ken Miki at key points. This is the second installment of the "Standing in Yaeyama" series, following Shizuo Ota's "The Yaeyama War" (awarded the Okinawa Times Publishing Culture Award and Fudo Award).
